Die Raccoons Bert, Ralph und Melissa leben im "Immergrünen Wald" und sind Herausgeber des "Immergrünen Standard", der Lokalzeitung dieses Waldes. Ihr größter Widersacher ist Cyril Sneer, ein geldgieriger Aardvark, der den Wald abholzen will, um noch mehr Geld zu machen. Sein Sohn Cedric ist jedoch gut mit den Raccoons befreundet und setzt sich mit ihnen gemeinsam für die Rettung des Waldes ein.
